Helpful Information on Italy?

My husband and I stayed in San Giuliano Terme when we went to Pisa. It's only about 5 km from Pisa. It's a small village that is a short train ride away. We took the bus into Pisa. Make sure to buy your tickets before you board the bus, you pay double if you buy them from the driver. We stayed at the Hotel Granduca which provided breakfast to us. The hotel is nice but the rooms are not luxurious even though it is a 4 star hotel. Cinque Terra is also supposed to be very nice. Don't focus on the Tower alone when you go, there is a lot more to see there. Visit Santa Maria della Spina, a tiny gothic church on the river. I checked out wikipedia before we left and got several great ideas on where to visit. We ate at a great resteraunt there called Osteria I Santi at 71/73 Via Santa Maria very near the tower. The food was great and so were the prices. Make sure to hear the guard sing at the Baptistry, it was absolutely beautiful. Have a great trip!
