My best friend is an environmentalist!?

I like the environment, i recycle, I clean up litter, I have a dog. But my friend is a major environmentalist and she is always so paranoid. I used a plastic bag at the supermarket and she freaked out and she won't eat anything unless its organic. I believe we should be good stewards of the earth, but do you think she is a little paranoid? If so, how can I help her relax a bit? Thanks!
