Religion vs. art/music?

I'm writing a paper based on conservative religious views of art and music. We read the book "My Name is Asher Lev" which discusses the Jewish viewpoint of art, and I was curious about how other religions view it. Any ideas? I'm thinking of religions like Amish, Quaker, and other ultra-conservative groups. What is their take on art and/or music?
