Is a Chinese Paratrooper 16" SKS rare?

The value of the rifle was drastically decreased when it was Bubba'd. The SKS isn't itself particular rare. To the contrary, they're quite common and I've never seen one in at least moderate condition go for much more than $250, which is what I paid for mine.
