Opinion on breaking down pool cue before game is over?

breaking down your own cue has nothing to do with the game play and is not governed by anyone or any regulations... if this distracted you then it is your own fault. Were he to approach the table and collect or anything else from the table you would have a point, but seriously, you are stretching for an excuse and no governing person would support your argument... i actually highly doubt that 'one of the guys running the tourney simply told the shooter that broke down his stick not to do that again'... you lost... in a rather poor game no less... keep playing and get over it.
